The Transportation Club of Tacoma proudly announces the selection of Jim Stanaway for TCT’s Lifetime Achievement Award!

JIM’S HIGHLIGHTS

  • Joined the Club in 1991
  • Served as a member of the Board of Directors from 1992 – 2009
  • Vice President 1995
  • President 1996
  • Person of the Year 2001
  • Speaker in January 2003
  • Creator of the first club website in 2002
  • Chaired/supported Hi Jinks Scholarship Tournament 1994 – 2009
  • Committee member of the Spring Open Charity Classic 2007 – 2009

“Ambassador of the Club” does not do justice when speaking of Jim’s contributions to our great organization. His commitment and dedication has spanned nearly 20 years, much of which centered on the mentoring of new members to the Board.

“There was never a doubt that Jim set the tone on what it meant to serve on the Board. When you talk of walking in someone’s footsteps, there was never a doubt that his was a path you wanted to follow. I am truly a better person for my time serving with Jim.”

An ambassador, mentor, leader and more importantly, a friend. These are attributes not commonly found in one person. Fortunately for the Transportation Club of Tacoma we have Jim Stanaway, a member with all these qualities and so much more.
