2010 TCT PERSON OF THE YEAR AWARD
JEFF CLARK
Jeff Clark, 2010 TCT Person of the Year (major Duck fan) receives his award from TCT Executive Director Gary Gieser (major Ohio State University fan). Yes, the two work very well together despite their collegiate affilitations.
The Transportation Club of Tacoma proudly announces the selection of Jeff Clark as our 2010 Person of the Year!
Jeff was born in Nebraska and at an early age, moved to Oregon where he grew up to go to the University of Oregon and become a lifelong Duck. At Oregon, he roomed with another of our TCT members, Ed Kropp.
In talking to Jeff”s family, they were not surprised that he was receiving the award as one of his strong suits is doing his work well and being a family-oriented person. He loves kids and animals, is very patient and has great perseverance.
He loves sports (in shorts) especially skiing (hopefully not in shorts!!). He loves desserts every night and thinks running balances out the eating!
He is a betting man but lost one last year to an Ohio State fan… had to wear the OSU cap. This year, to keep him honest, the OSU guy will take Auburn! He is married to the lovely Gail Clark, and they have two sons – Michael and Patrick.
Jeff has worked for Landstar Ligon, Clark Transportation Services and now Schneider National. He joined the Board of TCT in 2006, became Second VP in 2007, First and President in 2008. He stepped up to fill a void and served as President for 18 months. He is still a member, but has left the Board to become the new Executive Director of the Transportation Club of Seattle.
