2010 COMPANY OF THE YEAR
TACOMA RAIL
At the November 2010 monthly luncheon, the Transportation Club of Tacoma was proud to present the winner of the 2010 Transportation Club of Tacoma Company of the Year to TACOMA RAIL. Tacoma Rail has been a key supporter of the Transportation Club of Tacoma, the local community and a vital component of intermodal service within Pierce County. The Club is proud to be able to recognize such a great company and a great group of people.
Tacoma Rail’s three divisions consist of 204 miles of track with over 120,000 line hauls per year. This makes Tacoma Rail one of the largest short line railroads in the country and a powerful factor in the economic growth and progress of Tacoma. Their strategic mission is to deliver the best rail service possible by providing a switching operation that is safe, cost competitive, reliable and efficient. TCT salutes Tacoma Rail for fulfilling that mission as well as its strong support of both the Transportation Club of Tacoma and the greater community. Congratulations Tacoma Rail!
