February 8, 2012

Good morning, everyone. Hope you have been enjoying the weather.

OK, here is where we are. I have 168 reservations for the meeting next Monday, 13 February, when John Wolfe, CEO, Port of Tacoma will be our speaker. It is also Past President’s Day and we have at least 14 coming in that capacity. We will also announce the Person of the Year for 2011 and finally, we will kick off the Bandage Drive that culminates at our March meeting. The meeting will be large and great fun!! Having said that, if you have made a reservation and have not heard from me, please reconfirm. As we may have a capacity issue, I will be taking about 30 more reservations and then may have to go to a standby list. First come, first serve so let me know.

We are close to going to press with the 2012 Directory so if you have not made arrangements for an ad, please contact Bonnie Geise at bonnie.geise @ seafreezecityice.net ASAP!!

Speaking of the Directory, for you few that have not renewed, need that by Friday. Call me if you have any questions.

Finally, here is a message from Barbara at Mary Bridge. This is a great way to support their mission.
On Wednesday and Thursday this week, February 8th and 9th, all of the Western Washington Chuck E. Cheese’s locations will be hosting a fundraiser for Mary Bridge Tree House. 15% of sales during those two days will support Tree House. The attached flyer has all of the details and is also a coupon for 10 free tokens. Please share this with your colleagues, family and friends. If this event is successful, Chuck E. Cheese’s would like to do these quarterly to support Tree House and our families needing a place to stay close to their ill or injured child. (Click Here for flyer)

Hope to see you on Monday.
